Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer took the stage at the Windows Phone 8 launch event to show off the new “killer hardware” coming from Microsoft’s hardware partners. The Nokia Lumia 920, Windows Phone 8X by HTC, and Samsung ATIV S.

Windows Phone 8 will be launching in Europe this weekend and rolling out to the rest of the world in November. Verizon is on board this time around, and the network will have a few exclusives. AT&T, meanwhile, will carry the Lumia 920 exclusively this fall, and T-Mobile plans to carry handsets as well. And if you visit a Microsoft Store, you’ll be able to choose from every color and every device available in the US.

Stay tuned for hands-on impressions.
