Angry Birds Star Wars travels to Hoth on November 29

Rovio has announced that Angry Birds Star Wars will be receiving a free update tomorrow, adding an entirely new planet: Hoth. The two initial locations, Tatooine and the Death Star, each had 40 levels, as did the bonus Path of the Jedi, which was unlockable on some platforms. Presumably, Hoth will as well. Hoth, however, will add an additional 20 levels. The big draw, of course, is the addition of Princess Leia and the ability to take down AT-ATs.

This update comes just in time for people who may have already finished the game, which was released three weeks ago to much praise. Personally, I’ve really enjoyed Angry Birds Star Wars, finding it to be a perfect blending of the two franchises and Rovio’s best installment yet. I’ve already three-starred every level in the game and unlocked all of the achievements on Windows Phone, and I’m getting close to doing the same on Windows 8 as well.

Angry Birds Star Wars is available now on Windows Phone 8, Windows 8, Windows 7, Kindle Fire, Android, iOS, and Mac.
