Apple releases iOS 6.0.1 to squash various bugs

ios601 - for some reason we don't have an alt tag here

Today, Apple released iOS 6.0.1, the first update to the recently-released operating system.

The new update squashes a number of bugs, including some that are specific to the brand-new iDevices that Apple released in September. Here’s the complete list of fixes:

For what it’s worth, the last two bugs in that list were among the reasons that some companies told their employees not to use an iPhone 5 – or even update their existing iPhones to iOS 6! In other words, that means this update was desperately needed by a number of people.

It’s a healthy update, chock full of improvements across the board. And considering that it’s also fairly small – my 4S’ update weighed in at 47.6MB – it’s certainly worth the download. Head over to iTunes and plug your iDevice in or go to Software Update on your phone to start downloading.
