Sprint says to expect news on Jelly Bean for HTC EVO 4G LTE “any day now”

To Jelly Bean, or not to Jelly Bean – that is the question. Indeed, that’s the question on the minds of multitudes of HTC EVO 4G LTE owners who have been patiently (or not so patiently) waiting for information from Sprint and HTC as to when to expect this OTA update. While we were led to believe that we’d see something by November 27, that time has come and gone, leading many to speculate about whether or not the EVO 4G LTE would even see Jelly Bean at all.

Things, however, are starting to look a bit more hopeful, as I just stumbled across this tweet from one of Sprint’s official social media accounts.

@misfit0313 No announcements just yet, stay tuned. Should be expecting some news any day now. #jellybean #sprint #lte*JAC

This was sent in response to this inquiry:

@sprintcare @sprint Any news on the Jelly Bean update for the HTC Evo 4g LTE? Android 4.1 or 4.2? Sense 4.5? ETA?

We’ve played this game before, so we’ll just have to wait and see if this news turns out to be true. But I would certainly like to know who “JAC” is, and what else this person might know.
