New leak suggests Jelly Bean for HTC EVO 4G LTE will roll out tomorrow

EVO 4G LTE JB leak - for some reason we don't have an alt tag hereYes, we’ve heard this a couple times before. Yes, we’re just as tired of false alarms as you are. Yes, we really hope this is true, but we’re not going to bet the farm on it. According to an anonymous tipster that Android Police has no “particular reason to consider reliable,” the HTC EVO 4G LTE will be updated to Jelly Bean tomorrow.

However, Android Police is saying that “we’re leaning on ‘legit’ here,” and I have to agree with this assessment, regardless of the source of the leak. That’s because all the pieces seem to be here, some of which have been missing in the past:

Here are the enhancements and fixes for this update:

  • Upgrade to Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean)
  • HTC Sense 4+
  • Improved camera capabilities and gallery
  • HTC Get Started Support – The HTC Get Started website lets customers set up their new smartphone from their home computer
  • Wi-Fi Authentication improved
  • Personalized ringtone issue fixed
  • Hyperlinks routing to phone app from calendar description issue fixed
  • Calendar Reminder improvement

It certainly seems like a few bugs that we’ve all been complaining about will be fixed, which is definitely welcome news. If we are to believe this leak, we’ll be able to check for the update starting tomorrow, December 13, with a widespread roll out to everyone else on January 3, 2013.
