Official ASUS Nexus 7 dock to go on sale December 30 for $40
It’s been a long time coming, but the official desktop charging cradle for the ASUS Nexus 7 will finally go on sale December 30 for the asking price of $39.99. This is according to a product listing at B&H, which confirms that the dock will also include a 3.5mm audio output.
Other sources are also reporting that the dock will include pogo pins, and it appears that the dock will indeed be designed for landscape use.
This news follows our earlier report that an official dock would be made available sometime in December, based on a listing discovered on the ASUS Japan website. And this news is also certainly welcome, considering the Nexus 7 has been out for five months with no official accessories, save for some inexpensive covers.
For now, you can put in your preorder now at B&H, although I’m sure additional retailers will be listing this item soon, as well. Most likely, this will also appear on the Play Store, so those of you who like dealing directly with Google may want to wait just a little while.
