rEVOLTEd ROM for the HTC EVO 4G LTE ver 0.5.1 released

rEVOLTEd zps9d06c955 - for some reason we don't have an alt tag here

Developer Swagstr (of Swagged Out Stock renown) has released a new entry into the HTC EVO 4G LTE Jelly Bean arena called rEVOLTEd, and swaggin’ improvements over the stock base are the goal.

The ROM claims to have the most optimized base around after all the apks were decompressed, pngouted, and zipaligned for maximum performance. What that actually brings to the table on a phone as powerful as the EVO is debatable, though, but I guess every bit helps.

Some of the features include an added roam-only mod to jump off of Sprint’s network, the advanced power menu, an AOSP version of the recent programs menu, working Google Wallet, long press back to kill a task, and persistent ADB, along with some other nifty additions.

It also claims to be an ASOP ROM, and that took me a minute to figure out since it’s obviously not an AOSP ROM – my best guess (and based on ssojyeti2‘s post) is that ASOP is short for “All Swagged Out Project,” whereas AOSP is obviously the Android Open Source Project.

If you’ve been a fan of Swagstr’s work from the EVO 4G and EVO 3D, it might be a good time to check this out. Also on the horizon are a separate version that’s strips out Sense for more of a stock feel.

If you’re planning on flashing this, make sure to make a nandroid backup first in case it doesn’t play nice with your phone, and let us know how it treats you.

Settings > Mobile Data > Automatic Connections. And disable ‘Connections Optimiser’.

that’s the new htc connection manager I think… unfortunately I’m separated from my phone and my account by a couple of walls at the moment… look in the thread called 24 hours of Jelly Bean and see if there’s a message that tells you where the connetions manager is located
