Tapatalk HD Beta for Android tablets is free for a limited time

Tapatalk is one of the most popular ways to access forums on Android devices, especially since a majority of the most popular forums are compatible with the app, including our very own Pocketables forum. Unfortunately, however, the app isn’t free, weighing in at a hefty $2.99, which isn’t cheap as far as Android apps are concerned.

But now, for a limited time only, Quoord Systems Limited is making Tapatalk HD for Android tablets absolutely free. That’s because this is the beta version of the tablet-optimized app, so there still might be a few kinks to work out – but that doesn’t mean it won’t function very nicely!

New features include a gallery view that allows you to discover new discussions by photos; push notifications for subscribed topics, private messages, likes received, mentions, and more; portrait and landscape optimizations; forum moderation functions like stick, open, close, delete, and ban; and dark and light themes.

The developers say that this beta version will only work until around the end January 2013, so pick it up while you can and give it a try. In fact, instead of commenting here on how much you like it, why not head over to our forums and make a new thread directly from the app? What a great way to try it out!
