Official ASUS Nexus 7 dock now expected January 10

BH Nexus 7 dock Jan 10 - for some reason we don't have an alt tag here

A couple weeks ago, we reported that the official dock for the ASUS Nexus 7 would finally go on sale December 30. Well, that day has come and gone, with no docks being sold to eagerly waiting customers. B&H has now adjusted its expected arrival date of Nexus 7 docks to January 10.

While this does seem promising, I wouldn’t start holding your breath right away if I were you. The wording that B&H is using still leaves lots of room for future adjustments, and the online retailer was already wrong once before. Still, I’m hopeful that the retailer would be hesitant to make another adjustment to the expected arrival date unless it was a bit more certain that the docks would really be arriving when they say they will be.

To recap, the dock does make use of the Nexus 7’s pogo pins for charging and for data transmission, and it comes with a 3.5mm audio jack and a microUSB port. It will retail for $39.99.
