Tip: Add DRM modules to use Hulu on CM 10.1

hulu

If you’re running CyanogenMod 10.1 on your rooted Android phone, Hulu may or may not be working for you. If it’s not, developer Kaos420 has a download and some instructions on installing the requisite Hulu DRM support files to your CM 10.1 build.

The process involves downloading and placing a few files in various locations on your system using an application like Root Explorer or ES File Explorer, and then changing the owner/group to root/root. It’s a fairly straightforward set of moves, and afterwards you should have Hulu functionality.

If you’ve been unable to watch Hulu and have been hankering to see if you can get the new 1080p mode on your device, this might be your fix. I bet you’ll need some build.prop tweaks in order to fool  Hulu into thinking it’s one of the supported devices, though.

The XDA link below gives you a quick download and instruction set for adding your DRM modules needed for Hulu on CM 10.1.
