HTC One for Verizon passes through FCC and gets closer to release

The HTC One will finally be available any time now on Verizon Wireless in the US, months after it was first released on Sprint, T-Mobile, and AT&T. After just having passed through the FCC yesterday, there should be nothing more in the way of its release.

We already knew that Verizon would get the HTC One at some point this summer, but now that it has passed through the FCC, we know it will be sooner rather than later. We also still don’t have definitive on-contract pricing information, or even whether or not Verizon will offer the 32GB version, the 64GB version, or both.

In any case, this is good news for both HTC users and HTC itself. Consumers now have the opportunity to use the phone on any of the big four networks in the US, while HTC’s opportunity to increase its market share and sell more handsets will improve – Verizon has the most customers of any carrier in the US, after all.

Will you be jumping to Verizon for the HTC One?
