The white LG Nexus 4 is officially sold out in the Google Play Store

White Nexus 4 not available

And just like that – almost as quickly as it originally appeared – the white LG Nexus 4 is no longer available in the Google Play Store. The Play Store listing for both the 8GB and 16GB show as “no longer available for sale.” Additionally, the white versions have disappeared as options on the main Nexus 4 landing page in the Play Store – only the black versions remain.

This wasn’t totally unexpected, since the white Nexus 4 was presented as a “limited edition” device – most of us speculated that once this initial batch was gone, that would be it. Luckily, if you don’t care about the color and just want a free bumper, that promotion does seem to be going on still.

If you really did have your heart set on the white Nexus 4, T-Mobile still has the 16GB version in stock, although you will pay a premium if you purchase it through the carrier: T-Mobile charges $427.99 (or $19.99 down with monthly installments of $17). This is a full $78 more expensive than what Google charged, but this could be a good option for those who don’t want to pay the entire price up front.

However, for most people, it probably makes more sense to wait – a new Nexus device is generally expected sometime this fall, and the Moto X phone will probably come sometime in August.
