LG Nexus 4 receiving OTA update to build JWR66Y (still Android 4.3)

T-Mobile Nexus 4 update

If you’ve got an LG Nexus 4 on your hands, start hitting that update button! According to T-Mobile US, a small update is coming in that changes the build number to JWR66Y, although the version number of Android remains the same at 4.3.

As of now, the full factory image is not available on Google’s official developer site (it’s still showing JWR66V), and the OTA update hasn’t shown up yet on either of the two Nexus 4 devices in my own house. According to T-Mobile, it’s a very tiny update that weighs in at 1.8MB, and it only includes some unknown security fixes.

Since Google has had an increased focus on security lately, I’d imagine that most people should start seeing this update fairly quickly. In any case, let us know when you get it – and be sure to report any additional bug fixes or changes that you happen to notice in the comments!
