C Spire customers, rejoice! Your HTC One should be getting the Android 4.3 update any time now. The specific HTC software version will also see an increase up to 2.04.563.3.

The official changelog does not mention much, other than Android 4.3 and some unspecified bug fixes. If you don’t want to wait around until your phone decides to notify you that an update is available, you can check manually by navigating to Settings > About > Software updates > Check now. Of course, if you have rooted your device, accept this update at your own risk. HTC has a long, well-established history of breaking root and wreaking other kinds of havoc on rooted phones, as well.

This still leaves Verizon and T-Mobile customers waiting for the update. Luckily, the wait won’t be much longer: HTC already said it anticipates the update will be available for both carriers before the end of the month.
