Apple announces Black Friday deals

Apple

Apple has just announced that it will be participating in Black Friday again this year. The announcement, which went up on the Australian Apple Online Store first, doesn’t list the products that will be discounted, but if last year’s sale is any indication of what’s to come on Friday, then we should have a pretty good idea of what will be offered.

Apple’s MacBook line has traditionally been offered at $100 off, while iPads are given discounts of $40 for the new model and $30 for the iPad 2. The latest iPod touch also gets a $30 discount, and the 4th-generation touch gets $20. $10 is shaved off the price of the iPod nano, too.

The company’s Black Friday deals have never been extravagant, and have historically been a good excuse for potential product buyers to go with a third-party seller and save double or even triple of Apple’s deals. MacMall and other Authorized Resellers have given significant discounts to Macs, iPads, and iPods in the past, and will likely offer better savings than Apple this year, too.

Still, Black Friday is a big deal (no pun intended) for shoppers, and the lower savings Apple is offering might be worth it for the convenience of picking their products up on Friday. Will you be taking advantage of these deals?
