Amazon giving away $5 credit Appstore credit to anyone who downloads an app until December 28

In the spirit of holiday cheer, Amazon has announced that it is giving a $5 Appstore credit to anyone who downloads an app between December 24 and 28. The app you download and install can be free, meaning that there really are no strings attached to this deal. This includes Amazon’s free app of the day, which should include some gems this week.

While Amazon’s app selection isn’t as extensive as what you can find in the Google Play Store, there are still lots of great things to find there. I personally use it to install TuneIn Radio Pro, Soundhound Infinity, and Root Explorer on each and every Android device I own – I got all three of those apps in Amazon’s free app of the day promotion. Additionally, I have about a hundred more premium apps that I paid nothing for, saved in my Amazon Appstore account, just in case I decide to install them in the future.
