Google Nexus 5 in red will be available February 4

According to an internal Sprint document, the Google Nexus 5 by LG will be released in the Google Play Store in red on February 4. We’ve been hearing rumors of the Nexus 5 available in more colors, but I’ve generally avoided posting much about that, simply because many of the photos looked fake to me. I am, however, willing to go out on a limb and trust the Sprint Playbook on this one.

Also interesting in this leak is the fact that Sprint LTE SIM cards are confirmed to be free for customers, “regardless of how or where the customer plans to activate service.” Some customers have reported being charged upwards of $60 for Sprint SIM cards, so going forward, you should have some ammunition in case Sprint attempts to charge you, as well. Just tell the poor, misinformed front-line employee to check his or her most recent Playbook.
