Latest OTA update for HTC One also giving some users LTE issues
The latest OTA update for the Sprint HTC One is causing even more headaches for even more users. When we first reported on 3.05.651.5, several of you reached out to tell us that you were no longer able to update the PRL or Profile. Instead, many people who try to do this manually get error code 1233. Additionally, a few of you are reporting that “No SIM card” error messages persist after this update, although for some it seems to take a few hours before this message shows up again.
And now, Pocketables reader Jared sent us a message to let us know that the LTE radio no longer functions, although 3G seems to have gotten better. HTC has acknowledged this problem, but as of now, there’s no known fix.
Jared sent us a screenshot, which you can view on the right, showing the error he’s getting. Before this update, LTE functioned just fine.
In any case, this certainly seems like one of the biggest bug-filled OTA updates from HTC in a while. As a matter of fact, HTC might just have outdone itself this time!
