OTA update for Sprint HTC One has been pushed back to fix more bugs
We reported last week on an incoming OTA update for the Sprint-branded HTC One that was designed to fix several issues with the device, including the PRL and Profile update issues and 4G LTE signal issues. We initially were told that the update was going to start rolling out last Thursday or Friday, but as we’ve all come to realize, it was a no call no show.
Luckily, Pocketables reader Jared – who has been in touch with HTC and tracking this update for us – recently received another call from HTC, letting him know that the update was pushed back:
Just a quick update. I just received another call from 3rd tier support just a few moments ago; the update fix got pushed back by the developers. He was unsure why, but said it was possibly to fix a few other things. All the developers said was that ‘it will be released soon.’
My speculation from the conversation is it will probably be another week or two, and if they do it then, it may be in conjunction with the next Android update.
So there you have it. It looks like many of you will have to live with the buggy software just a bit longer, but things should be looking better soon enough (hopefully).
Thanks, Jared!
