Sprint HTC One updated to 3.05.651.6, fixes Profile/PRL bug

It looks like the HTC One on Sprint is getting another OTA update, this time to 3.05.651.6, fixing that notorious bug that was preventing users from updating their Profiles or PRLs. This specific bug fix is all that the changelog officially lists, which means that other bugs users have reported might still be present.

According to Pocketables readers, these include:

  • WiFi always scanning for networks, even when the that option is turned off.
  • Shorter WiFi range, causing more frequent disconnects.
  • LTE not connecting.
  • SIM card error messages that persist, even after a supposed fix was rolled out.
  • Proximity sensor calibration issues.

I haven’t seen any reports of people actually getting this update in the wild yet, so be sure to keep us posted in the comments if and when you see this on your own HTC One. And, as always, please share your experiences with the update, including whether any of these additional bugs were fixed or – God forbid – new bugs were introduced.

[Sprint] Thanks, Ken!
