HTC sends out press invites for March 25 announcement

HTC save the date

Fasten your seatbelts – the new HTC One rumors and leaks are about to get a lot more plentiful. HTC began sending out invites this morning for a press event to take place on March 25 in both New York City and London. While details about the successor to last year’s HTC One are not official or confirmed, we have received some credible information about a possible dual camera configuration on the back (HTC just keeps trying to innovate in the mobile camera sector, with mixed results), along with software navigation buttons in lieu of the hardware buttons that the Taiwanese manufacturer has been so reluctant to give up (finally).

Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy S5 next Monday, giving it a full month head start over HTC. Although HTC just announced its new innovative Advantage program, I can’t help but wonder whether that is enough to keep interested consumers away from Samsung.

Hopefully HTC has even more up its sleeves that we don’t yet know about, which will allow it to deliver an extra hard punch on March 25. We’ll know for sure soon enough.
