Enable Harman/Kardon software on any HTC One M8

Harmon Kardon

You thought that the HTC One M8 on Sprint was the only M8 variant with Harman Kardon capabilities? Think again.

Thanks to some of the hardworking developers over at XDA, practically any HTC One M8 user can enjoy the software audio tuning that formerly only Sprint customers had access to. It’s worth nothing that this only works on HTC Sense, so if you’re running an AOSP ROM or you have the Google Play Edition, you’re out of luck. Additionally, your software base number must be higher than 1.1x, as this base doesn’t have the proper code to show Harman/Kardon options in the settings. It is recommended that you are S-OFF.

This should also go without saying, but the developers made a special point of saying not to put this on the 2013 HTC One M7 – you could very well brick your phone.

If you’re not deterred by all this, go ahead and flash it and let us know what you think. Full instructions are at the source link below.
