Deal alert: Nexus 5 and Nexus 7 on sale on eBay
If you’re looking for a good deal on a Nexus device, and you don’t mind getting a device that’s a few months old, you may want to check out a couple eBay listings for some savings off what you’d pay directly from Google.
First up, the Google Nexus 5 by LG is available in white with 32GB of on board storage for only $384.99. While this initially looks like it’s only a $15 savings, keep in mind that this price is what you’ll pay at checkout – there are no shipping charges or taxes (unless you’re in New York), which means for most of us this is closer to a $50 savings.
Next, we have the 2013 Google Nexus 7 by ASUS, also with 32GB of internal storage. This one is only $184.99, which is $80 less than what Google charges. Shipping is again free, but New York and New Jersey residents will have to pay sales tax. This particular deal is also not available in Alaska or Hawaii, but again, most people will be able to take advantage of this and save a good chunk of change, if they wish.
