Sprint HTC One M8 receives “urgent” OTA update to 1.54.651.10, fixes connectivity problems

If you own a Sprint HTC One M8, then you may want to check for any available software updates – especially if you have been experiencing voice and data network connectivity problems. Software version 1.54.651.10, which weighs in at 56.33MB, started rolling out to users this weekend

Since the last update, the Sprint version of HTC’s flagship has been suffering from “a scenario in which a device may take multiple attempts to connect to voice and/or data in fringe coverage, with potential to enter a state in which the device is unable to connect at all in some environments.” This latest update should hopefully fix this.

It’s important to note that 1.54.651.10 is rolling out in batches this time, which means that it won’t be available to everyone all at once. So if it doesn’t show up for you right away, keep checking. If you suffer from this particular issue, I’m sure it’s been debilitating, so I’m glad to see that a fix was rolled out more quickly than usual.

Thanks, Lee!
