HTC leaks smartwatch in its own promotional video

htc-smartwatch

A few days ago, we posted about rumors that HTC was making its own Android Wear smartwatch, and now it looks like HTC might have accidentally “leaked” something about it, too. Back on July 9, HTC posted a promotional video on its YouTube page about design and how much HTC cares about it. However, throughout the video there are a few small glimpses of what very well could be the upcoming, but as-of-yet unannounced watch.

Take a look here:

While we don’t have any details on the watch like specs or price, 35 seconds into the clip you can see a designer working on an image of a car dock, and on his desk is a smartwatch. And later on at 42 seconds, the same designer is working on a 3D model that appears to be a smartwatch, as well.

Just like the render we got from @evleaks, the smartwatch in the video features a square display. It shows the time in white on a black background, although there’s what key difference as pointed out by HTC Source – there is a slight bump on the right side of the smartwatch that could be a physical button.

Are you excited by the prospect of an HTC watch running Android Wear?
