HTC One E8 to be released this Friday in India

HTC India might release the HTC One E8 this Friday. The Taiwanese manufacturer just sent out a press event for a launch event on July 11 in New Delhi. And even though the One E8 isn’t specifically mentioned, this seems the more likely candidate over HTC’s new Desire 616

The One E8 was first released in China at the beginning of June, little over a month ago as an alternative to the HTC One M8, for those who still wanted a powerful high-end device without the high-end price tag. Instead of the all metal body and UltraPixel dual back camera, the One E8 is plastic and has a more traditional 13MP back camera. These two small changes allowed HTC to bring the overall price down by over 40%.

This new availability in India will only help the company’s bottom line, which only recently became profitable. I, for one, am happy to see HTC’s fortunes turning around, and I hope HTC can keep up this momentum!
