HTC One M8 with dual SIM slot is launching in Europe next week

HTC will launch the HTC One M8 with dual SIM slots in Europe next week. The device is exactly the same as the One M8 that we have all come to know and love, with one telling difference – the ability to insert two SIM cards. According to HTC, it will be available initially in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland for a suggested retail price of €799, with wider availability sometime in the future. Considering the original One M8 sells for €570 unsubsidized in most European markets, that’s quite a big mark up just for the ability to hold an extra SIM – almost €230, to be precise.

But for customer who travel a lot and don’t want to constantly switch out SIM cards or carry two phones around, a feature like this could be a lifesaver.

Color options will be limited, at least at first, as it will only be available in gunmetal gray.

This most likely won’t come to the US market, as dual SIM devices hardly ever do, but we’ll be sure to let you know if it does.
