HTC really wants to repair its reputation among smartphone enthusiasts who like quick software updates, which is why HTC promised to upgrade the HTC One M8 to Android L within 90 days of its public release. But what does HTC’s upcoming roadmap really look like?

Thanks to the well known leaker llabtoofer over at XDA, we now have a better idea of exactly how HTC plans to approach the Android L update – along with Android 4.4.3 and Android 4.4.4 – with multiple devices. It appears that HTC intends to update the One M8 (including the dual SIM version), the One Mini 2, the One E8, and the One M7 from last year to Android L. The tentative timeline for the upgrade seems to be between October and December, probably depending on when Android L is officially released by Google.

HTC also has plans to update the One M8 and M7 to Android 4.4.4 between July and August. While the devices were originally slated to receive Android 4.4.3, HTC looks like it is considering skipping that release altogether in favor of the most up to date stable version of Android.
