HTC publishes official RE camera app in the Play Store

RE logoSimilar to devices like the GoPro, the HTC RE is a camera without a viewfinder. Instead, it’s something that is designed to be used while doing something active, or while holding it up towards something you want to record (with fingers crossed that you’re actually getting it in the shot). However, if you really want to see what you’re recording in real time, HTC now has a solution.

The official RE app was just released on the Play Store and allows you to follow what is currently on the RE camera, along with viewing previous content that you’ve captured on the device. The app also allows you to share photos and videos, and even switch between photo and video modes with a single tap.

Granted, the RE camera can also be used on its own, without any connected device. And it will assuredly be challenging to hold up two devices while trying to record with one. But if you really want to do it, you can.
