HTC publishes its proprietary Camera on the Google Play Store

HTC is continuing in its mission to move most (or all?) of its proprietary apps into the Google Play Store in order to provide its customers with speedy updates and new features, without having to wait for an entire system update to come along. The latest app to get the treatment is the HTC Camera app.

Unlike some of HTC’s new Play Store apps, this one is only compatible with a select few HTC devices. However, given the popularity of the HTC Camera app, it’s always possible that HTC could open it up in the near future, especially since the Taiwanese company is trying to build a new kind of social network based around photography.

You can download the app from the Google Play Store below. Since I’ve gone all Nexus, I can’t check it out myself – but be sure to leave a comment with your impressions if you install this on your own HTC device!
