T-Mobile delays release of Google Nexus 6 by one week
If you’re anything like me, then today, November 12, meant one thing: This was the day I could walk in to my local T-Mobil store and walk out with a Google Nexus 6 phone by Motorola in hand. Unfortunately, things have changed.
Last night on social media, T-Mobile announced that its own release date for the much-anticipated Nexus device would be delayed by one week in order to give its customers a better experience. (Read: Motorola and Google didn’t provide enough inventory to meet T-Mobile’s needs, and T-Mobile doesn’t want to repeat the disaster that was Google Play Store ordering.)
Here’s the carrier’s official announcement:
To give @TMobile customers the best experience possible, we’re moving our #Nexus6 launch out one week to 11/19.

Yes, I’m upset too, and yes, I agree that this entire launch seemed to be botched from the start. However, it’s important to keep in mind that Google and Motorola are entirely to blame here, not T-Mobile. If anything, the carrier should be praised for actually giving more consideration to the customer experience, and making sure that everyone who wants a Nexus 6 when it is finally available can get one.
