T-Mobile is selling the HTC RE through the Underground site

HTC RE T-Mobile

T-Mobile has started selling the HTC RE handheld camera through its exclusive tech-enthusiast site, Underground. Currently available only in white, the carrier is asking the full retail value of $199.99.

T-Mobile Underground was launched as a special place to buy limited edition or hard-to-find devices that are not always easily accessible through other sources. While the site hasn’t had a lot to choose from until now, previous special buys included the Galaxy S5 in gold and the Galaxy Gear. Current Underground devices include the  64GB Nexus 6 and the LTE-enabled Nexus 9, along with the HTC RE.

I’ve been playing around with the camera for a little while now and generally find photos to be hit or miss – the wide angle lens is a lot of fun, to be sure, but it’s too easy to snap blurry photos, and the fact that there is no viewfinder can make getting just the right shot a little more difficult than it should be. Still, I’m looking forward to taking this out to the pool this summer, and I’m sure it will continue to get a lot of use.
