The Google Nexus 9 by HTC is finally available in “sand”

Nexus 9 sandIf, for some reason, you’ve been holding off on getting the Google Nexus 9 by HTC because you wanted it in sand (lunar white and indigo black were just too boring for you), the wait is over: It’s available now in the Google Play Store, but only in the 32GB WiFi-only version.

Unfortunately, there’s no telling whether or not this will ever become available in the lower storage capacity, or with LTE enabled. What I can say is, if you are someone who has been scared off by early-run manufacturing/build problems, you are guaranteed to get a tablet that was manufactured later if you order it in this color – hopefully, that means that most of the hardware issues plaguing the first run are taken care of.

Personally, I have the Nexus 9 in white, which I got during HTC’s flash sale, for 50% off. I also bought the official keyboard case for 50% off a few weeks later. While I’m happy I made those purchases, I can honestly say I that I don’t think I’d recommend them at full price. The build quality just doesn’t justify the high retail price, in my opinion.

In any case, if that doesn’t deter you, and you want to roll the dice on a newer build, check it out at the Play Store below.
