Boost Mobile announces unlimited Mexico and Canada calling, plus international texting, for $5/month
As the prepaid mobile price wars continue to heat up, Boost Mobile today announced unlimited calling to Mexico and Canada, along with unlimited worldwide international text messages, all for $5/month.
The plan, called Todo Mexico Plus, can be added to most existing plans and undercuts T-Mobile’s base international plan by $5. (T-Mobile’s plans do cover international texting for free, though, and T-Mobile’s $10 plan does include unlimited landline calls to most international destinations already.)
Boost Mobile also has an International Connect Plus plan for $10/month, which includes 1000 mobile to mobile minutes to Mexico or the Dominican Republic, along with unlimited calls to landlines in over 70 countries including Mexico and Canada. This plan also includes unlimited international texting.
At this time, Boost Mobile does not have any unlimited mobile to mobile plans, except to Mexico and Canada, while T-Mobile does offer this option in over 30 countries for $15/month.
