Sling TV makes its public launch today

Sling TV

Sling TV, announced by Dish Network at CES last month, is a new streaming TV service, and perhaps one of the most exciting developments for cord-cutters in a long time. While Netflix, Hulu, and others focuses on on-demand content, Sling TV seeks to fill in the gap in live television. The $20 package includes:

Kids Extra is an optional $5/month package that includes:

News junkies can also be $/month for:

Sports Extra is also $5 a month:

Unfortunately, Chromecast and Apple TV are not supported yet. And AMC is nowhere to be found, which makes it a no-go for me. But Dish and Sling are working on correcting these oversights, so it will be very interesting to see how this service evolves in the coming months.
