Sprint is ready to push Lollipop to the HTC One M8 today

Sprint One M8 Lollipop

If you’re on Sprint and have the HTC One M8, start hitting that update button! Even though initial expectations led us to believe that the update wouldn’t arrive until mid-February, Sprint has published details on the update on its HTC One M8 support page.

According to Sprint, this update will bump the software version up to 4.20.651.10. Here’s the rather short changelog:

  • Android 5.0 (Lollipop)
  • Lumen Toolbar Removed

We’ve been burned before with these types of things (i.e. Sprint announces the update, but it doesn’t show up for days), so even though this is on Sprint’s site, I’m taking it with a grain of salt until we start getting some reports of people getting update notifications.

If you are one of those people, let us know how it’s working out for you in the comments below. Hopefully your experience will be much better than Paul’s experience with a very buggy Lollipop update on his One M7.
