T-Mobile offers a free tablet for Valentine’s Day

T-Mobile tablet deal

T-Mobile is bringing back its popular free tablet offer back just in time for Valentine’s Day – it’s the same offer T-Mobile had during the holiday shopping season, and it’s actually not that bad. Here’s how it works: Sign up for a mobile data plan of at least 1GB or higher, and you get a free tablet. It’s as easy as that.

The tablet is the Alcatel OneTouch Pop 7. which normally retails for $168. It admittedly won’t turn any heads, and it’s still running Jelly Bean, but free is free – and it could be a great cheap toy for a kid or significant other who doesn’t necessarily care about the latest or greatest technology.

The only catch is that you have to keep your mobile data line active for two years. If you don’t, you’ll have to pay whatever the remaining balance would have been if you purchased the tablet through an EIP plan and paid $7/month for it.

This offer is valid February 12-16.
