As relations between the US and Cuba continue to thaw, Sprint hopes to cash in on the opportunity. Its prepaid division Boost Mobile is now marketing a new plan for customers in Miami that provides unlimited texting and industry-low per minute prices for calls to Cuba.

There are two Cuba Monthly Connect plans: for $50/month, customers get unlimited domestic talk and text, unlimited data with 5GB at 3G/4G speeds, unlimited texting to Cuba, and 15 minutes of voice calling to Cuba per month. For $60/month, customers get all of this, plus 10GB of high speed data per month.

Current customers can also add a new $15/month feature to any other Boost plan that gives them 50 minutes of calls to Cuba and unlimited international texts. This works out to $0.30/minute – the lowest rate of any national carrier.

Sprint says that these plans are only available for a limited time, so if you are interested, jump on them now. The carrier also says it will make a $10,000 donation to Roots of Hope, a nonprofit organization in Cuba whose mission is to empower Cuban youth.
