Google posts remaining Android 5.1 factory images for every recent Nexus device … except the Nexus 9
If you’ve been clicking refresh every day for hours at a time on the Nexus Factory Images page, you can finally let your mouse finger rest. Google has finally posted Android 5.1 factory images for every recent Nexus devices … except the Nexus 9.
This includes:
- The Nexus 6 by Motorola (LMY47D, LMY47E, and LMY47I – still no LMY47M)
- The Nexus Player by ASUS(LMY47D)
- The Nexus 5 by LG (LMY47D, LMY47I)
- The WiFi 2013 Nexus 7 by ASUS (LMY47O)
- The LTE 2013 Nexus 7 by ASUS (LMY47O)
- The Nexus 10 by Samsung (LMY47D)
- The Nexus 4 by LG (LMY47O)
- The WiFi 2012 Nexus 7 by ASUS (LMY47D)
- The 3G 2012 Nexus 7 by ASUS (LMY47D)
You can flash Android 5.1 on any of these Nexus devices, as long as your bootloader is unlocked (which is really easy to do). Be warned that flashing a factory image will erase all of your userdata, unless you take specific steps to stop this from happening.
In other news, Google hates the Nexus 9.
