Google stops selling LG G Watch, discounts LG G Watch R by $50

G Watch

Some changes are afoot in the Google Store regarding LG’s first two forays into Android Wear: Google is no longer selling the LG G Watch at all, while it has discounted the LG G Watch R by $50 at the same time.

The original LG G Watch was one of the first Android Wear smartwatches, launched alongside the Samsung Gear Live at Google I/O last year. It’s also the watch I wear on a daily basis, and while it’s certainly quite basic and lacking some of the bells and whistles of other Android Wear devices, it is also quite capable – and its battery life is among the best.

The LG G Watch R was LG’s second attempt at an Android Wear device, and is now considered the “entry level” Android Wear watch for LG. (The more expensive Urbane is starting at $349, at the moment).

Do you wear an Android Wear watch? If so, how do you like it?
