The NETGEAR Fuse will retail for $49.99 and is available now at Best Buy or on Boost’s own website. It supports up to ten devices at a time and features a 2500mAh battery with up to ten hours of usage. It also has a 1.77-inch LCD display.
While it’s great to see Boost expand its plan offerings and venture into the mobile hotspot business, it does seem that its prices are a little steep. For example, existing T-Mobile customers can add a mobile data line to their phone plans, and match their phone data up to 5GB, for only $10/month. T-Mobile is also allowing people to add 10GB phone lines to its promotional family plan for only $20/month – for T-Mobile customers, it would be cheaper to just add a line and tether to a cheap burner phone.
