Google releases accompanying album to monotune commercial

MonotuneIf you’ve watched TV recently you’ve probably seen that commercial where the pianist is playing one piano beautifully and then he moves to another and every key is exactly the same note.

It’s Google’s way of digging at conformity/stockiness of Apple’s rigid ecosystem, or maybe it’s just their attempt to blow through the billions they have and appease their investors that they’re actually taking public image seriously.

That said, they’ve released an album of single note music in the same genre for free called Monotune.

Tracks include

  • Rondo Alla Turca
  • Minute Waltz
  • Tame Me Out to the Ball Game
  • Row, Row, Row Your Boat
  • Clair de Lune
  • The Yankee Doodle Boy
  • Three Blind Mice
  • Goldberg Variations
  • America, the Beautiful
  • [Bonus Track] Hot Cross Buns

All done in one single note. It’s… kind of insane and depressing, and it’s free.

Just “purchase” it and add it to your library.
