Apple Music mismatching/deleting user music
Just read a horrifying little piece about a composer with a very large collection of music he had both collected and written that Apple Music mismatched, lossy compressed, uploaded to the cloud, and then deleted from his drive.
Not using Apple Music personally this isn’t something that worries me terribly much, but it is something you should look out for if you have a massive music library, especially one you have no way of getting back easily. The mismatches in which a song was replaced and then the original deleted are especially troubling.
Those who cancel their Apple Music subscription are also finding out that they no longer have the music on their hard drive, and that it’s now securely locked behind a service they just cancelled. Oy.
