Monday’s big ball of negativity: worst product you ever purchased?

Monday via is a dark and troubling time: Monday. And for that I felt there should be an appropriate thread in which we discuss some products that just didn’t live up to their hype or a company that just completely let you down.

For me the worst product I ever purchased was a 2001 New Beetle (aka the Y2K Bug,) which in 10 years had three broken CV joints, leaked through the trunk light, melted two engine fans, engine had to be rebuilt, three water pumps, couldn’t hold an alignment for some reason, three batteries exploded, weird electrical problems, busted power steering at least once, headlights blew out in unison, auto trunk release broke, window mech would jam, and it seems like a few other things that ended up making the 10-year cost of repairs higher than the new MSRP.

As for digital media, possibly the worst I ever purchased was a streaming license for Snowpiercer. Seriously.

I started thinking about products I’ve reviewed, and digital gadgets, but mostly that reaches into disappointment and occasionally annoyance.
