Someone at freetail is not content to rest on their laurels with an excellent product. We received notice from Freetail about reduced pricing late yesterday although it has no official end date.
256GB Freetail Evoke CF
Up first for the special pricing is the 256Gb Evoke Compact flash. This is the capacity that we reviewed yesterday and were quite impressed with. At the initial pricing we had of 240.99 the card was cheaper than it’s competition. Now however at an even lower 219.99 this card is at ludacris pricing well below any of it’s peers.
128Gb Freetail Evoke CF
New in today’s information is an also attractive 128Gb option launching at an even more wallet friendly 85.99. Once again this is comfortably below the established lineup of high end cards. At just shy of 1/3 of the price of it’s larger 256Gb sibling I expect this 128Gb card to be quite popular, especially with older devices. Although our 5D mk III performed without fault there were signs that it hadn’t been designed for a card quite so large and with the same performance and lower per Gb pricing this should make the 128Gb model very popular.
Both these cards are available now and based on our testing excellent options for any photographer using compact flash as high performance storage media.
