World Backup Day Giveaway

Seagate Ultra Slim Backup Plus platinum
Seagate Ultra Slim Backup Plus platinum

March 31st is World Backup Day. A day when we all realize we forgot to backup something up and hopefully start to do so as a matter of habit. To that end seagate is giving away a 1TB Ultra Slim Backup Plus which we recently reviewed. This drive made quite a value proposition in our testing and although i’m wary to trust all my data to a single external drive(I’ve dropped a few) they’re an excellent start to preserving your data.

Entries

Entry is as simple as commenting below either with your worst data loss story or when backups saved the day. Multiple entries are allowed,  You have until world backup day to enter and the winning entry will be the most entertaining, or impressive story.

Winners

Winners will be probably be announced April 3nd, 2017. Basically one week from now assuming all goes normally. This contest is slightly different as unlike before winners will need to not only comment with an email address in Disqus that works, but also eventually give me an address in the US to ship to (I’ll email you for it.) Seagate will be handling shipping once the contest is over unfortunately for US only.

Also due to the nature of these things the goal here is to increase traffic as well as backup awareness. If you want to be kind and promote this contest somewhere I’d much appreciate it.

So go ahead, enter away, extra points/entries/etc for the amusing. Enter once a day if you want. Tell me where you promoted it for an extra entry (although really don’t spam people, as much as I’d love the extra traffic I don’t want the ill will).

If you want to make up new rules for the contest feel free. Just don’t expect me to play by them ;)

Have fun!
