PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds hits mobile
If you’re a fan of battle royal games, this might pique your interest. The official released o PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is now available on Android and iOS after a relatively short beta test.
The game pits you against about 99 other people in a fight to the finish on an island of ever-shrinking scale.
While not quite the experience you’ll get on a console or a computer, it’s something you can take along with you and waste massive time.
Unfortunately it doesn’t seem to want to work with any of the joysticks I’ve tried, but then again it was released yesterday so can’t have everything right out of the gate.
It’s currently free, with in-app purchases available, and is still rolling out to some countries so if you can’t get it yet try agin in a day or so. The download’s going to be near 600 megabytes so clear some space, connect to the WiFi, and put a third thing in here that makes it sound like I’m really hyping people up even though I’m not.
It’s out now on iOS and Android and yeah, it can be fun. Except I want to play with a joystick and not a glass screen because I am terrible with it.
