Your voice and Google Assistant can now pay your friends back for that sandwich

Google Assistant meets Google Pay

If you’re currently signed up for Google Pay and are familiar with Google Assistant, paying friends and requesting money from them is easier than ever.

Simply whip out your phone, say something like “Send $5 to Paul King for bringing this to my attention.”

Or “Request $200 from Congressman X to keep those photos safe.”

You’ll have to have Google Pay set up and some method of biometric or passcode authentication, so no real worries about having friends, enemies, or parrots accidentally sending money.

It’s neat, saves a lot of tapping. That’s about it.
