Plex rolls out Web Shows to bring in even more entertainment

Plex web episodes

You’re already probably familiar with Plex, the one-stop media server, transcoder, over-the-air TV DVR, podcast central, media jukebox of a beast that’s simple enough a 4-yo can operate it.

Well now they’re adding episodic web episode consolidation and discovery to help you keep up with your video content across the web.

In theory the Web Shows module learns what you like and can make suggestions based on what you watch.

Plex Web Shows is in beta, which means it’ll probably show some bugs at some point. You do not have to switch to the beta update channel to see it, it should appear on most devices over on the right at the bottom of your list of things as Web Shows [BETA]Plex Web Shows [BETA]

You do not need to purchase a Plex Pass in order to use this, so no reason not to try it.

Now if we could just get a Netflix, Amazon, YouTubeTV, etc plugin so there would be no reason to ever exit plex we’d be set.
