That thing you like, getting slightly better…

I haven’t had any time for the past few months to really write about the incremental updates of Android. I’ve been thinking about it a lot though, you have no idea how many hours I hung out in the sun walking from door to door the past few months thinking I’d rather be writing.

But the question became what I’d rather be writing about. I’d felt for a while that there was little new in the realm of root beyond new and interesting ways to get around root detection, but I’ve also started feeling that way about Android, and due to some side work iOS even though I don’t write about it.

Google Home’s gotten better, all smart assistants seem to be getting these incremental updates, but what’s the next interesting thing? Maybe I need to hit CES again, but I’m not seeing anything particularly note worthy.

5G is just faster, and like 4G it’s being overhyped and will be underwhelming. Seriously had someone send me a 5G screenshot of a speed test that my 4G blew them out of the water… but, but… it’s one more G. Meh.

So I’m searching for inspiration here. Got anything that’s new, groundbreaking, not just slightly better and good for you? Can you point me to new way to use old tech? Really would like to be inspired again and I’m searching and not finding it.

Oh, I’m not done, not trying to be a downer, I’m just temporarily lost and need to be pointed in the right direction.
